Do the white garage doors look good?

I took Sarah's advice and made some changes in photoshop, making the garage doors white. I haven't made changes to the front door yet, but wanted to know what everyone thought of the white garage doors. I still have to see if its too late to change them from "sandstone" (kind of a beige color). Can I just say how hard it is to make color choices before you even have a house! I made the decision about the garage door colors while the house was being built--no siding yet. I was thinking either a black front door, or trying to stain it to match the stairs. What do you guys think? I thought the other exterior doors would stay white.

Hmmm... That is difficult. I think the garage doors look nice white. Everything matches. But, I suppose it depends on what look you're going for. Do you want everything those two colors?? Man, I sympathize with you. I am struggling with this decision and it's not even my house!! GOOD LUCK!

Okay... if it is too late for the garage doors to change color to white - I would for sure paint your front door to match them the Sandstone.

If they can be white then I would paint your front door black .... I know I keep throing out the color charcoal... anyway I probably would not try to stain/ paint the door to match the railing etc. as I think in the long run it would not look as good... does that help? I know I am supposed to pick colors out for a living but there are always so many options!!!

Well the doors have already been ordered, but we can hire a painter to paint them on site to match the white of the trim. That's what I'm going to do. These decisions are so hard! Marty was telling me today "You mean I was right?" I guess he was said we should order them in white in the first place, oh well. Hopefully it won't cost too much to paint them. I think black for the door would give it that punch of color, and match the roof, sort of the second accent color besides the white. I think I'll go ahead and paint the rest of the doors white until I get up the courage to go black on the front. I may paint the cardboard cover black and hold it up just to see how it looks.

Well, I'm coming to see the house for myself tomorrow so I can make a better assessment. However, my first instinct is to have wooden garage doors that are stained to match the stairs -- same for the front door. This would warm up the house a bit and tie it together. I think the white garage doors draw attention to themselves. All you see is garage door -- rather than helping them to recede and blend. Generally, I like white, but I think the effect is off. I'll let you know when I see it tomorrow.
