I think Black... but really charcoal (benjamin Moore historic colors Kendall Charcoal is nice nuetral)... it is my kitchen color Does the house feel smaller now with insulation?
I'm not very sold on the black for two reasons: 1) I don't think black is a very welcoming color and 2)it seems to get lost to me. It doesn't seem right with your other nice flowy colors. Ok, I'm just going with the emotional aspect, but I'd try something more daring and welcoming. The worste case scenario: You have to paint over it. ANYTHING is easier to paint over than black!
The house does feel a bit smaller with the insulation in, but cozier as well. I think we'll definately go with the garage doors that match the house, and I'll have to still think about the front door color, maybe a nice red? Though, I'm still thinking about the charcoal. I think I'll be painting cardboard and holding it up to get a better idea.
I agree that the garage doors look great this way. And I still think the front door looks best white... charcoal would probably be my second pick (from what you show). Have you considered doing a darker shade of the same color as the siding? That would probably look nice and stand out without clashing :) Especially if you did several shades darker...
Yeah, Hailey is on to something. A darker shade of green... or turquoise (I don't know why this color keeps popping into mind.) But white would be my second choice.
